Nicole Psomas is a physical therapist with over 15 years of experience. She has spent the last 15 years working at the prestigious New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City.
Nicole has accumulated an extensive resume working with patients of varied populations including: post-surgical, reconstructive plastic surgery, bariatric surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cardiopulmonary, general medicine, hemophilia, oncology, orthopedics, psychiatry, pediatrics, transplant surgery, urology , vascular, women’s health, inpatient rehab unit and intensive care units. She held the position of Clinical Specialist for the Trauma, Surgical and Medicine Service.
Nicole is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School and is a member of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN). Some other professional memberships include The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), an affiliate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Hellenic Medical Society of New York, Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce of New York, and the Daughters of Penelope.
Nicole recently was awarded Top Doctor®️ Top Physical of the year for 2019. She was also selected as “Who’s Who in America Top Physical Therapist”. She was featured in Spotlyte magazine “Top 11 Trailblazing females”. She is a published author of the book “After The Cut: How To Prepare For and Recover From Cosmetic Plastic Surgery” available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
During her time at New York Presbyterian Hospital, she has won several awards and taken part in producing two educational books. The first published in 2005 is entitled, “Home Exercise Program For Your Child After Heart Surgery” and the second, “Welcome To The Burn Center.” She has been the recipient of two Patient Centered Care Grants. The grant awarded in 2012 is an education kit to guide patients on recovery after bariatric surgery.
