Nicole Psomas is a physical therapist with over 15 years of experience. She has spent the last 15 years working at the prestigious New York Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City.
Nicole has accumulated an extensive resume working with patients of varied populations including: post-surgical, reconstructive plastic surgery, bariatric surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cardiopulmonary, general medicine, hemophilia, oncology, orthopedics, psychiatry, pediatrics, transplant surgery, urology , vascular, women’s health, inpatient rehab unit and intensive care units. She held the position of Clinical Specialist for the Trauma, Surgical and Medicine Service.
She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School and is a member of the National Lymphedema Network (NLN). Some other professional memberships include The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), an affiliate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Hellenic Medical Society of New York, Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce of New York, and the Daughters of Penelope.

§ Management (ie. Evaluation and treatment) of patients in the following areas: neurology, neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury.
§ Proficient in use of the NDT techniques, spasticity management, vestibular screening, and serial casting.
§ Proficient in use of the following standardized tests: JFK Coma Recovery scale, ASIA classification, Berg Balance Test, Dynamic Gait Index, Timed Up ad Go and Mini-Mental Examination.
§ Proficient in use of the Lite Gait Walking Device and Up-n-Go Walker.
Cardiopulmonary experience:
§ ICU and step-down experience with coverage for Vent Management Team.
§ Instructed cardiac class
§ Proficient in Breathing Assist Techniques
Med-surgical experience:
§ Management of patients in the MICU, SICU, step-down and general acute care
§ Management of patients in the following areas: vascular, plastics, bariatrics, transplant, trauma, oncology, CSS, psychiatry, women’s health, urology/renal, and gen medicine
Orthopedic experience: Management of all surgical and non-surgical patients.
